This work developed out of my ‘Dys-Tortion’ Photography where I have been working with the idea of ‘distortion’ to explore man’s destructive impact on our environment. The drawing
is an abstraction of various parts of the Banksia plant, combining loose gestural marks with tight detail and empty space. It is an expression of the beauty and chaos of the environment
we find ourselves living in.
